Egyptian Healing Rods - Authentic and Proven!

An exciting new treatment for
"nearly every disease" has just arrived from Ancient Egypt - namely, these amazing Egyptian Healing Rods.

It's a wonder that news of this amazing scientific discovery has taken "over 3,000 years" to land on my desk.

Sceptics beware, though: the advertisers hold incontrovertible proof that the rods really do work. Their leaflet (available here and here) boasts:

"Discover why the EGYPTIAN HEALING RODS offer you tangible health benefits. RUSSIAN STUDIES DEMONSTRATE THE EGYPTIAN HEALING RODS WILL: REDUCE STRESS - BOOST IMMUNE FUNCTION - EXPAND PSYCHIC ABILITIES - LOWER BLOOD PRESSURE..."

Needless to say, these "Russian Studies" don't seem to have been published in any respectable clinical journals. A similar cloud of suspicion hangs over the leaflet's testimonial claims.

"For years my arthritis prevented me from gardening. Now in my 70's, the gift of relief from this pain is WONDERFUL..."

"After 30 days using the Rods... my doctor cut my BP meds in half!"

"My Reiki practice has blossomed! The effectiveness of the treatments I offer are amplified 10 FOLD [sic] when used with the rods!"

I can't argue with the last one, but as for the rest of these bullshit claims - ASA complaint follows!

"I'm writing to complain about a handout for Egyptian Healing Rods Ltd, which I picked up from a stall at the 'Mind Body Spirit' exhibition in London on 26th May.

The handout promotes the healing rods, and contains some health claims which I suspect are misleading.

1. "TYPES OF RODS - RODS-KONT - Effective for lowering blood pressure...reducing insomnia. RODS-QUARTZ - A 'universal healer' that stimulates immune function..."

I'd like to challenge whether the advertiser can substantiate any of these claims.

2. "Discover why the EGYPTIAN HEALING RODS offer you tangible health benefits. RUSSIAN STUDIES DEMONSTRATE THE EGYPTIAN HEALING RODS WILL: REDUCE STRESS - BOOST IMMUNE FUNCTION - EXPAND PSYCHIC ABILITIES - LOWER BLOOD PRESSURE..."

I'd like to challenge whether the advertiser can substantiate any of these claims.

3. I'd also like to challenge whether the testimonial claims that the rods can cure arthritis, repair broken noses, permit doctors to "reduce...BP meds in half", increase the efficacy of acupuncture treatments by 60%, cure insomnia and assist with weight loss are misleading.

I can confirm that I have no connections with the advertiser or with the alternative medicine industry in general."

  1. I would like to suggest that there is room for respectful disagreement when it comes to validating authorities. Each country has their own methods and standards. The Egyptian Healing Rods have been studied in Russia since 1984 and there are many well-known scientists and researchers there who have offered positive commentary upon these energy tools. None of these scientists are British citizens, and perhaps your bias will immediately discount them....or perhaps not? The fact remains, however, that many people have received tangible benefits from the Egyptian Healing Rods. And, as these crystal-filled wands are not ingested nor are they electrified they pose no health risk to the consumer. There is no risk whatsoever from holding these Rods! People can sample the rods at health fairs and make their own decisions. Thus, I respectfully suggest you direct your passions toward products that actually pose a danger to the public! The Egyptian Healing Rods are handled honorably. Acupuncture, Reiki and other subtle energy treatments were long ignored and disrespected by western medical practitioners. However, when the number of people receiving benefit from the alternative treatments became too large to ignore, then the establishment "powers" found some acceptance for them. The Russian manufacturer of the Egyptian Healing Rods has invested far more sincerity for research and human compassion in bringing forward an ancient and beneficial tool for self-care than you have in lashing-out against the product. All claims made about the Egyptian Healing Rods are based upon Russian research and actual Practitioner experiences with the Rods. The cutting edge in discernments and developments begins with little more than antidotal comments - how can it be otherwise? Kind regards, J. Larson

  2. Hi J Larson,

Почему вы думаете, что я фанатик? Ни один из моих русских друзей с Вами согласен. Кстати, я хотел бы узнать больше о своих доказательств. Я посмотрел на него, но я не мог его найти. Где это было опубликовано? Где я могу прочитать?

I hope that answers all your questions.

  3. Science is science, Russian or British. You either have a scientific methodology, data and results or not. Saying that some scientists somewhere made some research means nothing, show us the research with methodology and data in a peer reviewed source or it is just hot air.
